Holy shit it's beautiful. Remember when I posted about it two years ago? Shit it now is awesome. A cleaner default theme too. It scrolls unlike iTunes for some reason for me.

Still lets you upload songs to your iPod or Zune.

Yeah.... I've been using this for many months now...
But seriously, I really like it. It has a few problems with album art and whatnot, but a good app overall. thumbup;

Problems with album art? I'm so glad there is an automatic find album art tool. Jesus yes.
The biggest cons I've found is no CD rip or burn on default and my time for like 5% of my songs is disappeared though if I play the song it will sometimes work, and there is no smart shuffle (Plays all the songs in my library on shuffle but the ones with more play count get played more.)
Jesus I can't wait til they let you put videos on here, once they do I'll pretty much have my own personal TV station.
It looks like iTunes, but ugly.
What's wrong with iTunes?

you realize itunes has all that right
this man obviously has an irrational fear of itunes
I've never had any problem with iTunes.
Why are you using an uglier mock-up of iTunes? It's basically the same program except less shiny.

pardon my logic but um why would you want to browse the internet from that anyway when you have your main firefox browser
or you just buy a Sony Walkman mp3 player and not have to install a program. All you do is literally drag and drop onto "Content Transfer"

yeah, i just saw a "guest" viewing it lol
songbird sucked it's ok
it had potential
there aren't really any good music players anymore
what do you mean hiro
as far as windows apps there's nothing i'm a big fan of these days. zune was good but has been abandoned, itunes is horrid, foobar is alright but doesn't work the way i want it to, same with musicbee, clementine is meh, mediamonkey is fugly, same with winamp. I usually just use Spotify because it's easy and I'm lazy, but it sucks with local files so I'll whip out MusicBee for that

this is how i feel.
foobar is great
if it doesnt work well enough then you need to customize it more you lazy bum
i've tried a bunch of different skins and extensions and stuff to change the ui, and they only ever look good or work okay, not both. even still the columns facets ui is the closest extension i've found to how i want it to work, but even then i still don't like the queuing system, and with columns facets ui you basically can't skin it
WELL I DECIDED TO GIVE FOOBAR ANOTHER FUCKING TRY AND I FUCKING HATE COMPUTERS AND FOOBAR IS A GIANT PIECE OF SHIT
ive tried to find good foobar skins but every one of them is from 2009 and are not supported anymore.
foobar plays all the file types tho (or u can make it play all the file types) and it looks better than vlc player

yes i'll agree with most of that but you can also skin vlc and it actually functions properly with the skins
what exactly does foobar not do that somehow songbird or zuneshit did for you?
i actually liked the zune software a lot but it didnt work with last.fm or have a lot of the file management stuff that foobar has that i like a lot

yeah pretty much
also jmv songbird was never very good
i know songbird was never very good i've always said it sucked.
i had tried it many times since the beta in 2006 and every time I got awful performance, excessive crashes, etc. It sucked every time I gave it a chance over the years.

lul
but what features are you looking in a music player that foobar doesn't offer? i wasn't trying to be a dick about it and was trying to point you somehwere you maybe haven't looked.
foobar is kind of jenky overall
like i can see why people dislike it
but if you are really on top of your library organization and optimization of foobar you can make it a really good player
also i've found that i actually really like google music
tmobile lets me stream it without using my data which is sweet
and i can upload my entire library to it
they do a good job with instant mixes and the interface (besides the listen now section which sucks) is easy to use
Until you hit the 20k limit fucking lol
I just use Subsonic (or Musiccabinet or MadSonic) . Currently using MadSonic
just stream to my phone using dSub or stream through the browser if i'm not home and i'm good
wmp is the best imo
yes because my opinions on software have stayed the same in the past 5 years
at the time it was okay, never had it crash on me or anything, i probably said that when it was new to me and seemed like it had potential

i don't even know what you mean by this comment
and i wouldn't say there's a specific "feature" but you basically have to decide between having it look nice or work nicely
i like the ui logic of zune, and the closest i've come to having that is the facets extension on foobar, but that uses the default ui that looks like crap
trust me jmv I used foobar exclusively for like 2 or 3 years and tried quite a few different things for it. been using musicbee for the past year and a half now and it's just okay as well but spotify has made me lazy

does it actually not count with tmobile now? i knew they were adding it but I thought it was still being counted currently. soon i plan on wiping my play music library and re-uploading everything since it was really disorganized when i started using it. the android app is great though, and i like that it integrates my local files seamlessly with it.

I used Subsonic in like 2011 or something and at the time it was alright but the android app got very outdated and i think i had some other problem with it that i can't recall
there is a ghost in my media player
pay 2 bucks for dsub and you got a good android app.
use jamstash in your browser
idk if it does for every t mobile plan but it definitely does for mine

well i mean the music thing applies, i just didn't think play music was on their approved list yet
Did this program contain malware? I didn't understand the purpose of this program as it didn't contain any unique UI.

I just recently started using musicbee
what is musicbee is it good
i was enjoying google music but they've had some UI changes that suck and it also doesn't sync with last.fm that well so i'm open to changes. i like the fact that my music on it feels like "my music" since i have to upload it myself but i also dont like how i dont have access to my music w/o wifi and it burns my data (unless i go back to my baller US plan with t mobile that gave me free goog music usage)
thinkin' about looking for the best ubuntu program i can find
i used music bee for a bit, but i didnt like the UI and switched back to wmp.
i wish i could get the pre-genius Itunes because that was the perfect music player back when i had a mac. now it's all garbagio
i still use itunes in 2016 AMA

does it run fine on ur windows comp? it didn't on my old crapbox
i guess? it's a little slow at indexing shit sometimes, but i also have like 200 GB of music so i cut the ole' gal some slack
never really like crashes or hogs memory or anything though naw

I actually don't mind wmp, and I liked it's UI. And I'd probably still be using it but I switched over to media monkey for a while so I could rip in flac and for some of the auto tagging options.
Then I got into musicbee more recently and I like the now playing tab setup where it can have the cover art (or whatever), and the lyrics, and the track list displayed. And its pretty small download size.
And I don't really care about customization in music players too much and most skins look like trash.

i like the bloated simpleness of wmp, honestly my only complaints i have w/ wmp is it has no 'recently added" playlist or flac support.
i use foobar still
i loved foobar when i used windows but it could be a pain to configure sometimes
however whenever it was configured perfectly it was amazing
foobar is oogly

is there a lightweight spotify client because i use spotify pretty much
I've just been using the web player (https://play.spotify.com/) for spotify. Even though the ui is wonky in places. But adblock filters out all the ads.

Yeah What.cd has a "Share your foobar config" thread where people just post screencaps but SHARE NOTHING
I have some foobar theme that im getting kind of tired of and it kind of sucks for Chinese + korean text so i wanna switch it up but can't find anythign as nice looking
I usually just use Subsonic (Madsonic fork really) since that works just as well
i've tried to get some themes to work that i've found on google and i download and install the components (i think that's how it worked- it's been a minute) and it just never works how it should
maybe i need more patience
i switched to musicbee from foobar because it handles podcasts a lot better
unless it's changed recently, all foobar has is a basic plugin that hasn't been updated in 5 years and runs horribly if you subscribe to anything with a lot of backlog episodes
