I'm still getting a feel for this forum...it seems like everyone here likes hipster music?
How about hipster metal? Any Deafheaven fans?
Thoughts on the newest album?
Personally, I'd rank the albums as such: Sunbather > New Bermuda = Ordinary Corrupt Human Love > Roads to Judah
Ordinary Corrupt Human Love is the bright, fun analogue to New Bermuda's darkness. But I can't say one is better than the other.
Liked Sunbather a lot when it came out but I grew pretty tired of it after a while and tbh black metal in general has been done much better by the likes of Burzum. Never really listened to any other Deafheaven albums.
I did once have a pretty bizarre dream when I fell asleep while listening to Sunbather. In it, I was a scorpion running around on my bedroom floor and the entire thing was in a constantly-shifting technicolor dreamscape. So that was neat.
