Ivy and I went to a neat little German restaurant on Monday. It's called the Black Forest Inn, and it's in Uptown Minneapolis. Had a slice of pork schnitzel and a side of spätzle. Their in-house gravy on both. Really good stuff. Ivy got this really amazing Bavarian pork sandwich with sauce and cheese melted on top. Made me wish I'd gotten one, but she did let me have a few bites. Some sort of really good potato salad on the side.
Where did you last go to get some delicious food?
Taco bell.
The last place I got food from was McDonald's
The last amazing place I went out to was about a month ago when my parents took me to Ocean 362 in the Virgin Islands. Super fancy food I felt kind of bad ordering it and cocktails knowing my parents wouldn't let me spend a dime. But the view of the bay as the sun set was killer so between that and the food it was probably worth the price they paid
checker's, just a few hours ago smithicide;
In-n-Out last night
uuuuuuuuuhhh mcdonalds lol, like 4 weeks ago
the skor mcflurry is p. baller tbh
but uh yeah i don't go out to eat v. often
there's this boulangerie close from work where i get takeout a lot tho
went to this cool bar last night that has like 50+ beers on tap that also usually has some hip food truck out front. my and my gf split some fish and chips and i had a nice citra ipa
currently eating sonic for the first time in probably 5 years. i swore to never go there again after this one time i went and waited in line for like 30-45 mins and when i finally got to the window they go "sorry we actually just closed and don't have any food for you lol" but yeah their food is actually pretty decent for what it is

Hey I know where that is!
It's right near Glam doll donuts.
And coincidentally, the last place I went to eat was The Bad Waitress, also near Black Forest Inn
diner style breakfast and dinner that offers multiple vegan options
all of their tables are labeled as superheroes or villains so that's neat too

100 yen (a little less than $1) per plate, but some dishes can go upwards to around 280 yen- usually the "what's in season/limited edition" items.
it can get pretty expensive fast if you eat a lot because shit adds up but its worth it. if my husband and i eat together, our bill averages to about 3500 yen, about $32, but if i go by myself it's usually around 1200 yen (~$10)
Today I went to Donut Bar in San Diego which had a few different awards for best in CA and top ten nationally
Waited an hour to make it through line but the donuts are really good. The poptart one is crazy it has an entire poptart inside along with jam and the whole thing is glaze and topped with icing and a strawberry compote.
I still kinda think a plain glazed donut is as good as you can get though y/n
dude you can get even more basic. plain cakes are godlike.
although ill eat any donut and be very very happy

honestly, that doesn't seem bad at all befuddlement
i can't really see myself eating more than maybe $16 worth of sushi at those prices, even with a few of the more expensive types thrown in
god i need to visit jpn :'(

then i had a dessert tasting prix fixe at jungsik in TriBeCa downtown manhattan
it's Korean!!
it was mainly just very fancy ice creams (lemon basil, brown rice, black truffle)
one dish was shaped like a little banana marzipan but instead of almond it was coffee and chocolate

I would be so happy if all the pretty marzipan candies were coffee and chocolate instead
had taco hell for dinner sm(i)th(icide);
at least it was mostly vegetarian
i'll just do like most poor vegetarians do and pretend that anything and everything can be healthy so long as it contains no meat

I don't remember anything from the malayasian spot cept noodles and pork buns
i got a sundae with three flavors: earl grey, black sesame and blackberry crumble and my friend gave me a bit of his (burnt honeycomb, matcha)
the vegan place is called caravan of dreams
I got a knock off pizza
the crust was made with pumpkin seed and the cheese was cultured from cashews

lamb shawarma for lunch
local sandwich place wrench;
place in downtown St. Paul called Octo Fishbar. was very good. very small portions though which means it's a bit expensive considering how much you'd need to order to get a full meal lol
i had some salmon, which is always a treat, tried some of the blowfish tails that ivy ordered (they had this interesting sauce on them similar to buffalo sauce), and then we shared a plate of crab claws
those three plates, plus three beers for ivy and a grapefruit sparkling water (it was ok) for me, came to about $65 or so iirc

went to an irish pub last night. neat place. had a pretty good cider and really fuckin good pulled pork nachos. also a Jameson burger that was a bit disappointing but oh well, had various beer cheeses and a Jameson glaze. also got some pie there that was phenomenal, a banoffee pie. graham cracker crust, banana and toffee filling, whipped cream, chocolate shavings. it was amazing. pie was the best part of the whole visit lol
shit that sounds good
i went to a local wine bar, got swedish meatballs, smoked salmon, and a pink japanese martiti thingy
local halal-levantine-mediterranean-former ottoman realm place
it was p. good
On Friday, Ivy and I ate at The Depot Tavern in downtown Minneapolis. It's right next to 7th Street Entry and First Avenue, two of the most important (and most popular) live music venues in the Twin Cities. Ownership, staff, merch, ticket sales, etc. are interconnected between all three. Anyway, it's a neat place to eat (or sit at the bar) while waiting for a show, but on Friday nights it's also ridiculously busy and loud. Great food tho. Signature burger there is pretty great.
Not too long ago we also ate at a downtown place called Hell's Kitchen. I had a pretty tasty, spicy jalapeno burger there. The cheesecake we had was also really good.
We've also eaten at Kyoto Sushi twice in the past month or so, which is a pretty neat small chain or all-you-can-eat sushi places. Pretty solidly priced, and very delicious. Tho the udon I had was pretty subpar, all of sushi and tempura is wonderful and I discovered I really adore squid tempura.
Ivy and I are always trying new places to eat all over the Twin Cities. There's probably one or two I'm forgetting about since the last time I posted in here.
i was at a steak place with coworkers while i was visiting boston two weeks ago for work, nothing since then. i'd rather just eat at home
Coco's, a chain curry restaurant in Japan. i don't really like japanese curry but it's what my husbando wanted to eat.
i just had a couple chicken nuggies and fries
