You know, the one where I lost control of my car due to icy road conditions, ended up in the other lane, t-boned by a Silverado, ended up with a double hip fracture and forehead and facial lacerations?
Something I haven't really thought about in ages. Until I suddenly get something in the mail the other night. From a law office. Detailing a certain lawsuit against me.
The plaintiffs are two of the passengers of that Silverado. And the wife of one of them. And they're trying to sue me. For past and future medical damages and "pain and suffering" and such other nonsense.
Don't know what to expect really, but they can't get blood from a stone. I've got no money to give them for the settlement I'm sure they're hoping for, let alone the full amount they'd hope to get if it were actually taken to court. Nor do I have any property worth anything.
Won't know how things go from here until I talk to someone from my insurance company on Monday.

i just got off the phone with my old Progressive claim agent. she said their litigation offices are going to be handling this.

so it's been a while. i finally got the good news today, after nearly an entire year of worrying about this case against me. it was settled. for me, the case is over.
y'all have no idea how much this whole thing has stressed me out. between having to get ahold of this or that person for this or that document, general dread, and the deposition i had to give in person (with the other party present as well, could tell just by looking at them how fucking greedy they were)
it's finally over and i can move on with my life without having to wonder about a trial date or the possibility of having my wages garnished
