Actual Dual Core.

Though my mom's computer (much better than my laptop) has an AMD.

I'm not sure which one though, and I don't feel like going up two floors to find out.

Macs have never used AMD processors; they once used IBM PPC processors and now it's Intel Core 2 Duo. caterpie;

Because Apple hates variety.  Wait till Barcelona blows Core 2 out of the water.

And no, I'm not an AMD fanboy, I would have much rather bought a Core 2 rather than my crappy Athlon 64, and now Opteron.
