I've used it and installed it (for other people). For some inexperienced users, it's pretty good. For me, it's not.

Ubuntu is just designed to be an introduction to Linux. It isn't anything special, and it's not something you really want to use every single day.

Listen, I've been stuck with windows for a whole fuckin' four years; I know Windows inside and out and I can tell you how much I hate Windows and how much it sucks from my heart.

You haven't had much experience with Ubuntu and I've had lots with Ubuntu and even more with Windows. I've made posts actually explaining the reasons why Windows sucks. I believe Thief read one of them.
