Opera doesn't even want to install on my computer for some reason.

It gets stuck at "Preparing to install".

It looks like it's still running, but I doubt it would after 10 minutes and the fact that my courser turns into the loading thing when I point it on the installer.

You can reinstall Windows, though it's always wiser to partition it...

There's bound to be some distro of Linux you like. If not, go for something like Solaris or some version of BSD.

I used Ubuntu for a good while, and I still do off and on, but it just didn't seem practical.  Everything felt like a chore, and it didn't do anything I couldn't do easier with Windows.  I've never had any problems with Windows, so I see no reason to switch right now.
