I'd buy a Mac, but they're too expensive.

I'm sure I'm one of the poorest folks here, yet I have two Macs.

I really hate the "they're too expensive" excuses.

But they really are. psyduck;
They're, like, $2,000+. That's expensive compared to a $1,000 PC.

If you're going for high end Macs you don't need, then you'll spend over $1500. Otherwise, $1,200 is perfect.

You'd have to be a retard to buy a piece of shit for $1,000 dollars, and complain Macs are too expensive for being quality products priced only $200 more. ugh

"Why pay $10,000 for a car when you can get a unicycle for $100?" is the average PC users logic... except the price gap isn't anywhere near that large.

I actually payed around $800 for my computer. $400 price gap.
So, anyway, I didn't know they made cheap Mas. Would this be good just the way it is? Maybe I'll consider buy it after my computer gets shittier.

You think 512 megs of RAM, no DVD burner, and no graphics card would be very smart? psyduck;

There's a reason I only mentioned the $1199 model...

so you're spoiled, then?

problem is that the price of entry is too high
show me a new mac that's under $500

Entry level aside, Macs are typically over-priced. Granted, I build my own PCs because I'm not an idiot.
Even then, it's easy to find PCs with similar (or better) specs on Newegg.

You build your own computers? You spoiled geek fuck.

Anyways, anyone that plans on buying entry-level computers should know they only last for about a year or less. Then again, only idiots buy computers that cheap. Macs are known for excellent build quality (though cooling is a bit of a problem) and OS reliability,  so you can't expect anything cheap.

And screw the Mac Mini. Aside from that, they're all fairly priced.

Took me over a year to save up enough to build my first one.  What about your first Mac?

I find the one year claim a bit dubious. psyduck;
