i validate my self-worth through consumerism hocuspocus;

well so do i and the rest of humanity lol

but not all of us choose to do so through steam, specifically

My question is, really, how did you all come to amass your Steam collections? How does a person end up with hundreds of games, when of those hundreds the vast majority aren't (and probably weren't ever) worth even thinking about playing? befuddlement

at a certain point it ceases to be validating and just becomes annoying pollution to sort through

and then it becomes a slightly distressing ever-present reminder of your own mortality lol

well your bias against indie games won't really help you understand lol

all the games i buy are worth thinking about playing for me, otherwise i wouldn't add them to my wishlist

i just wind up not playing them most of the time, except when i do

because yeah, sometimes i'll randomly feel like playing one of my indie first-person puzzle games or walking sims and yeah, sometimes it'll be a dud, but sometimes i'll land on a gem, and those times are worth it tbh

strongbad

144 games

I've stopped buying games from sales that I'll never play (the hype used to be real for the seasonal sales) but I don't mind spending $10 on an indie game that'll give me a couple hours of enjoyment.

And there's a lot of good games on steam why are you being so whiner tec?

naw the dollar bundle craze just ruined me. i'd say a good 3-400 of those games cost me on average less than 25 cents lol
