they will release three versions of the game on release date, in an obvious attempt to exploit pokemon fiends

The two subscriptions to fully enjoy the game is pretty much guaranteed. :(

Yeah, I fully expect this too.

Maybe Pokémon Bank will still work if you don't have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, but either way I completely expect you'll need two subscriptions to fully enjoy the game with both bank/transfers and trading/battles.

And at this point I'm getting the feeling that Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee likely won't have any kind of trade or transfer compatibility with the actual main series games, so we'll have to wait until next year's Gen8 games to see Bank on Switch.

I'm expecting that Pokémon Bank will eventually come to Switch for the Gen8 games and will be the method for transferring Pokémon from Sun/Moon, but I also wouldn't be that surprised if it doesn't come over at all. Making a cloud storage service that only holds 1MB of data, ends up locked to a single system (because 3DS's online account system is awful), and doesn't even work cross-platform, effectively having no reason to be in the cloud at all, is completely within the realm of things Nintendo would do.

tbh animations for the game have been so lackluster
it's like they intended it for the 3ds but scrapped it for the switch

im really just banking on gen 8
though ive been disconnected from pokemon after s/m
