Quote from: YPrrrr on August 07, 2019, 04:30:01 AMIt's better to be born good in that it is easier to do the right thing and is therefore less challenging

It's better to have overcome an evil nature because it requires great effort and is therefore more impressive

I guess it depends on how much you enjoy a challenge lol

and we all certainly enjoy a good redemption story, "most improved" is a common elementary classroom award and everyone loves real-life villains turned heroes (eg. convict opens bakery or smth lol)

But another important factor to consider is: "What is better" for whom? befuddlement

if you had been born evil but had the strength and virtue and made the "great effort" necessary to eventually overcome it, that's legit laudable

But it still sucks arse for your victims for the entire period during which you had been evil. goowan

becoming good eventually is an invaluable improvement in character, but it doesn't necessarily undo the damage that had already been done up to that point

"To overcome your evil nature through great effort" is always the overwhelmingly popular choice for this question because people like paarthuurnaaxxx (i mean no doubt he great), but the player is extremely biased because we only ever encounter him after he's already overcome his evil nature lol

but we know factually that he'd been another alduin before that

How do we know that Stalin didn't genuinely overcome his evil nature on his death bed, a week before perishing, but by now far too infirm to put that change of nature into practice? And what would it mean if he did? Reichdood;
