how can you hate on starcraft and love civ?
like i get it they're different games but you'd expect that you'd have at least a little appreciation over how amazing of an RTS starcraft is

but you also don't like hard games as you said in the other thread so maybe that's it

I haven't played Rise yet, but the first one was just a shitty uncharted. the story sucked dick. lara's characterization sucked dick. the shooting sections were just bad. raiding tombs was mostly optional. i thought it was a 6/10 at best but everyone claimed it was JUST THE REFRESHMENT THE SERIES NEEDED

compared to 2nd era TR sure, those were ass, but compared to OG tomb raider i wouldn't really say so. TR 1 & 2 were some of my favorite playstation games to play at my buds house after school back in the day. the reboot just took itself so damn seriously, but it still retained the underlying silly, outlandish story of the originals, which just clashed really harshly for me. if you want to have a magical treasure adventure that's cool, but don't spend half the game with the gritty stick shoved up your asshole

which is why i wanna get to Rise soon because i'm hoping they got the GRITTY ORIGIN STORY shit out of their system so i can just play a silly tomb raider game

civ being turn-based is one of the major factors of why i like it as opposed to RTSes
