finally finished this lol
i cheated and triggered all three endings by savesumming because i'm a worthless trophy skank

i'm not sure i understand what transpired in any of them
Now all that's left is the chalASS dungeons... awdood;

great job n_n how did u like the final bosses
they were fun, surprisingly easy though i guess that's pretty much par the course for fromsoft final bosses

i died to the moon presence once only because of that blood vial disabling effect lol

now somebody explain why gehrman so vehemently resisted my attempt to free him from eternal servitude to the moon presence as the decrepit host of the dream

i must be misunderstanding his motives lol, why would he not want to be freed just as he does for the pc in the first ending

i mean he clearly laments his position as host

>attempting to make sense of souls plot lines
Nyerp
idk maybe gehrman realized that if you killed him the moon presence would just replace him with you so he'd rather try to "free" you by killing you?????

he laments his position but i'm pretty sure he's powerless to moon presence and assumes you are as well
agreed, i interpreted it the same way. especially since if he kills you his dialogue seems to imply that he's freed you, iirc

also:
choosing to let him kill you, like through the dialogue choice, allows you to wake up from the dream.
so yeah i'm pretty sure we can interpret death as freedom here

TooB

eh whatever...

we all know that in the end, it's
aliens
anyway
which is precisely why it doesn't make sense to me that he would resist so fiercely

he should welcome the prospect of euthanasia as a purely altruistic move lol, just as him decapitating the pc in the other ending is

maybe, but i would have an easier time believing this if he seemed at all remorseful or unwilling about what he has to do upon a hunter's refusal of his offer

instead he's enthusiastic about cutting the player character down, which is completely at odds with his desperate grieving in earlier dialogue

ugh i tilted so fucking hard last night and lost all progress farming i made.

getting my dick kicked by blood starved beast so i decided to farm some bloodies for antidotes

ummmm he's gone mad????? maybe he's enthusiastic because he finally gets to fight something instead of just sitting around for all eternity?????

C.Mongler

FUCK THIS FUCKING BLOOD STARVED BITCH, also how can he identify as blood starved, i have died to him many times
but really can someone give me a tip or two, especially for the third phase; i have no real problems getting to the third phase but once i do i get utterly fucked because of how fast he starts moving, like basically if i get hit once it's GG because i can't recover because i need to antidote and use a blood flask and thats like 2 seconds of just standing there which ya can't do!!! i died twice last night with him down to about two or three hits, and i've spent like 4 hours across all my attempts now THIS SHIT IS FRUSTRATING WHY DO I SUCK
TooB

Hmmm  do you have any fire paper? He's weak to fire.

C.Mongler

yeah i've been using it; helps ensure i get to phase 3, but then i still get my dick kicked in.

also bloodborne wiki and my bro keep saying this shit is optional so perhaps i should KEEP EXPLORING despite not having seen another way to go  saddood;

C.Mongler

oh also reading the wiki page for old yarnham told me i should summon Alfred with THE BELL which is something i have not tried lmao god i'm trash at these games

TooB

You could also just summon a player to help you with the small resonant bell

Idk I don't have great advice because he gave me trouble my first time too

Nyerp

blood starved was really hard for me until i realized that every single one of his attacks can be dodged the same way (to the left and slightly forward for me). you pretty much can't get hit so you just have to not let him hit you. the third phase is all about getting him as far away from the poisoned area as possible.

C.Mongler

yeah i read about the left side dodge thing this morning, i will have to give that a shot in combination with INVITING A BUDDY  THE POWER OF GOD
