if you're going to get everything in nightmare of mensis, particularly the choir bell hunter tool, the blood rock, and the best version of the moon rune (super useful btw), you have to go through this awful part that has four of those winter lantern enemies. all of which seem to be particularly impossible to sneak up on, so i ended up having to tank the frenzy damage and heal up over and over

at a certain point i was attacking him more shut him up than to progress the game lol

at least his constant blabbering has some use in that you can follow the general direction from which his voice originates to figure out where he's hidden lol

and he's got one move that can easily kill you if it hits right
