now that you've effectively finished it, how would you rank bloodborne in comparison to the other souls game

in a way, more fun than even Dark Souls.
ds is still a better game overall.

but old hunters contains what I feel is the best boss fight in any souls game.

I dunno though. Bloodborne suits my interests/playstyles a bit more because of it's more visceral combat.

Without some time to think about it, Bloodborne could be my number one "souls" game.
The world is far more interesting to me than DS "dark fantasy" world. but at the same time, DS "dark fantasy" is still unlike other games of its ilk.

But there aren't many games that look like BB either. Even more so.

bloodborne now has a shield that is actually useful.

i like the bloodstone fusing system a lot, mostly because you can use your bloodstones infinitely and experimient all you want

dodged to the side away from his attacks and generally kept behind him. would sometimes use his slow single-handed strike as an opportunity to parry. this only worked twice though. other than that i just dodged sideways and wailed on him.

i also kept far away whenever he would let out the initial poison burst in phase 3, not bothering to engage him again until it died down.

Yeah idk. he was just hard for me my first time.

he's pretty easy now tho
