but yeah, oot and mm were by far and away the best games of the n64/ps1 era, it's not even a contest

well, hold on. by far and away the best of their type, sure. but games in general? that's a stretch. symphony of the night isn't much worse (and many people would argue it's better), and it similarly revolutionized its own genre.
