have you played the original?
i played it a few months ago for the first time ever (the PC version, i had played a bit of the shitty SNES version back in the days), it's p. tight

It's amusing how poorly Doom's character models have aged.

So if any of you are interested, the Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion remake is currently 3.74 on ps3, and also on sale on whatever other platforms it's on

And you better jump on it quick if you want it because apparently it gets taken down this Friday and gone for good.

doom 1 & 2 still hold up magnifecently.
Doom 3 is also good, if you can accept that its slower paced, and tries more to be a horror type game

honestly at this point you should just play doom 4, it's way better than doom 3, and it's been hitting 20 bucks on the reg which is a great price for it. doom 1 & 2 are also choice but they have the old n crusty factor and you will need to mod them to make them playable by modern standards lol

Thyme

honestly with doom 1 all i had to do was play with the settings in the dosbox conf file to adjust the resolution
and something about opengl idr
and set it to WASD+mouselook

don't use gzdoom or something like that that's lame

C.Mongler

i dont remember what i use, probably gzdoom, but it's literally hit install and then you have proper modern wasd and resolutions and gfx rendering without having to 'play with settings' lol

but mostly just fuck with something to get rid of the mouse movement that shit is wonky, anything else is at yer discretion bruh

Thyme

i didn't use gzdoom precisely because i didn't want gfx rendering lol
i guess i wanted it to be authentic without being too archaic

idk tec try both and stick with what you like best 5thgrade;

C.Mongler

i mean u can click a button and it will just upscale instead lol but yeah do whatever fam

No way. They still hold up easily.
