yeah they're the only reason that fight's challenging, it's like capra demon 2.0. after many strategies, i finally settled on trying to use flame swath on the little rats when they group together. killed them all at once.

anyway i just finished crown of the iron king so i'm done with all the dlc which also means i'm pretty much done with my first playthrough of this game

but i would like to know sooner rather than later so i can try to end up within your range by the time i am finished and avoid either of us having to do much grinding before we can connect or w/e ( soul memory)
