I like geography, history, political stuff. Urban Planning gives them all a use; somethingyou ccan't do without a degree. I want to be able to create change that helps people

Probably shouldve done something more in line with psychology but must keep moving forward
also something you can't do with a degree lol

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

you dont need a degree for urban planning to plan urban areas level these fucking citys and take every inch as your own

Urban Planning? I don't understand
urban planning and psychology rank pretty high up there are majors that rarely land you a decent career within their respective fields

if they even get you a job at all

Not really but okay. More and more people are moving to cities, the field is constantly expanding. It's like computer science back in the day and you're the grandpa going on about how there's no future in it. Urban Planning has a lot more to do with it than just strictly being a planner anyway so I could really care less about that

Don't know about psychology, don't care. Besides the goal is to improve people's lives, not give myself some status. Doesn't need to be directly in line with field of study

Hiro

maybe be in pittsburgh
maybe move to portland
maybe get a car and go back to school if i don't do those
aside from that idk

Psychology is kind of bummer, not what I expected from the class at all

Imma take Econ next quarter and see how I like it
I'm obnoxious, motherfucka can't you tell
Run through Little Havana yelling 'Viva Fidel'
Jerking off at the sheets when I stay at hotels
Drinking Bacardi at AA meetings, smoking a L
I'm broke as hell my attitude is no good
Like working for white people after watching rosewood
So I'm a mercenary, I don't care how I get richer
Like American companies that did business with Hitler

idk my psychology classes were cool...yet really easy for me

strongbad

they're just easy classes lol
although i feel like they're the kind of classes that are easy to get a B in, but you really have to apply yourself and get into the material to get an A (source: I am a psych major with a B grade average)

psych is cool and you can get jobs with it, but they aren't usually well paying. they are generally fulfilling, though. i spent last summer working at a day camp for kids with autism (everyone who worked there was either a psych major or a communications science disorder major) and there was a ton of applied psychology that went into that job. however, i got minimum wage

also i've worked with people with disabilities for the last few years and while psychology knowledge isn't necessary, the fundamentals have made me a lot better at what i do (especially regarding social and abnormal psych)

psychology gets a stupid amount of hate for being a "soft-science," and while i'm not arguing that it isn't a soft science, it can still be really useful depending what you want to do

however i do not plan on doing anything with applied psychology after i graduate lol

Patrick Stickles

i've always wondered why people would choose well paying over fulfilling

like i feel like i could live pretty comfortably off like even 35k a year
What the fuck was it for anyway?

ME##

people are brainwashed to not follow their dreams :(

strongbad

Seriously
And are brainwashed to believe that their dreams involve being a marketing exec or something

silvertone

wat if their dream is to be a marketing executive...

wat if someone's father was a marketing executive and was paid well and so he set up ways to make ppl hate marketing forever so his son could get a bank ass job.

what if u are the ones brain washed
