My school offered Spanish, French, and Italian, but only like one class each of the latter two.

I wasn't honestly particularly interested in it, but I took Spanish. I think I considered French at one point, but was discouraged from it. Of course, in Florida, Spanish is the foreign language most people are interested in encouraging.

At my school they offer "VHS" (virtual high school) where you can take almost any course you want that that's one of them apparently.
Virtual High School in my state offers Chinese, but not Japanese.
I think there are one or two high schools in my county which offer Japanese.

In high school, I took two years of Spanish; my other choices were French and German. I knew Spanish was the easiest to learn, and in Texas, it's often applicable. I was required to take another two years of foreign language for college, so now I'm taking French.

Because I'm a pretentious white person who feels a connection to European countries he's never been to, I'd like to learn German, too. But so far, French has been an interesting language to learn, and I think I'd like France or Belgium just as much as Germany or Austria.

I took French at first because I had taken it in middle school. I took it then because I had a lot of hispanics in my classes who always spoke spanish and i got annoyed.

I switched to German after having an awful french teacher and I realized I would not be able to pass french IV.

I know minimal Italian and a bit less Chinese.  akudood;
