I basically live on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and was never aware until I came here that there was another term for this same device. But drinking/water fountain is obviously the superiour term because that is what I'm accustomed to so you all have to think the same way that i do

Most often I would say water fountain, although drinking fountain is acceptable as well.

I've yet to hear anyone say bubbler seriously, they seem to just do it to fuck with people. Although how often people actually announce their intention to drink from one is rather low
