e3 consolation/skyward sword disappointment thread

The only console I'm purchasing next generation is the successor to the Xbox.  I've been disappointed by Nintendo and Sony long enough.

I'm probably going to do what I did last generation. Get the Wii U, then get bored with it's lack of games after awhile and get another console.

the circle pads however are fucking retarded, especially considering their position on the uPad

Because I was joking and I'll more than likely end up being suckered in to both Sony and Nintebdo's ploys next generation as well.

You wouldn't ever have one. You'd have five or six, because the pieces of shit keep breaking.

I've only had the one. I got it Christmas 07 and played it everyday for hours and hours each day for like two years straight before I started slowing down. I only play it every once in a while now but it still works and I've had no problems.

Pretty much this for me. The only time mine has broke was when I was stupid and tried to see what it would look like play Xbox and Wii on the same TV at the same time.

I had a third party video/audio plug in thing that can connect to all three current gen consoles.

my greatest concern about the wii u (aside from its absolutely terrible name) is the fact that during local multiplayer games, there will be a significant difference in input methods for the person using the wii u controller and for the person/people using the wii remotes/classic controllers/etc.

Which means that either the person using the Wii U controller will have a very different experience from those using other devices, or (more likely and more lazily) the features of the new controller will not be taken advantage of during local multiplayer gaming so that the experience for each player is uniform, thus nullifying its uniqueness.

i can understand how the wii u controller could totes enhance a single-player or online multiplayer experience but at the same time it could truly upset (or be truly upset by) local multiplayer :'(

I think I will wait for 3 or 4 years after the new WIIOOO comes out to buy it. It will taking that fricking long for a new Zelda to come out and they will be cheaper. In the mean time my 360 will do.
