Like the transition from DS to 3DS, Nintendo is once again doing very little to differentiate the Wii from the "Wii U", which I think is truly stupid.  I was one of the few people who didn't complain about the name "Wii" when the original's was revealed, but "Wii U" irritates me intensely simply because it's too similar. :'(

aside from that (and likely the price of the controllers), i'm fairly satisfied with the new console; the concept itself is p. cool and there is very little i dislike about the machine itself yet, i eggcited

also dem gaymes, i want :'(

well yeah but rather those don't affect gameplay or anything so who cares

some of us like to do extra things with our games so we like the system, and the rest of you should just not care

as for wii-u yeah i hate the name too...hell, even Wii 2 would have been better, lol.

Trophies/Achievements add so much replayability it's ridiculous, Nintendo has already somewhat implemented it in many of their first party titles, Brawl is a shining example of some attempt at an achievement system, and it worked, however no one else knew of your achievements unless they went to your house. EA has some system that kind of works but it would only be limited to EA games, this is why I am worried about the online on Wii U, it has got to have a stable online interface allowing it's users to have a persistent online identity!

the brawl "achievement system" was how ALL achievement systems should be done because they actually gave you things that added to the game (or at least things to look at) and not just meaningless fucking messages that pop up on your screen
