So that must mean Skyward is the Wii's last big game and Wii-U is launching Spring/Summer 2012, wow another odd release datelike the 3DS.

Wii-U has to be a successor, it'll be impossible to support both Wii and Wii-U, the hardware looks like it'll be too different. Skyward confirmed for having a Wii-U version though that looks really great graphically, I would actually hold out to play it first on Wii-U.

what on earth are you talking about, i played most of the games i cared about on the wii already, except for the no more heroes games which i still want to play

and i hold no particular allegiance to microsoft simply because i own a 360 and enjoy it.

as far as these announcements go, well, i'm just not that interested in a new star fox or a new mario kart or 3d ports of older games or kid icarus (the original is one of the most overrated nes games ever)

i care about the new luigi's mansion and the new kirby games, though. it's not like there's nothing i care about. but at this point i'm finding it hard to be excited about the wii-u in particular.

i am entitled to my own opinions, i think, and i have no idea where you pulled this "allegiance" stuff out of...wait, was it your ass? i think so. same goes for my "refusal" to try things out. just because i don't own a wii myself doesn't mean i don't ever play one. mario galaxy 1 and 2, tos2 (lol), brawl, mp3, other m, kirby's epic yarn, tatsunoko vs. capcom, dkcr...i've played and enjoyed all of these.
