Well, I was using add/remove on Ubuntu to add some stuff.

My computer downloaded everything.  It froze while installing Java 6.

Now I get this error everytime I try to install something with add/remove.  It's pissing me off.

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA FUCK I JUST WANNA INSTALL MY DAMN PROGRAMS

What do I do?

I did 'alt+f2' and typed dpkg --configure -a  and nothing happened.

Where does it save the stuff it downloads before installing?

One thing I've noticed about Ubuntu is how easy it is to fuck something up. Just a mere installation error can cause the OS to fall apart. I'm afraid you need to reinstall Ubuntu.

Does Ubuntu have any sort of System Restore?

Try #ubuntu or the Ubuntu Forums. If they can't help, you might need to reinstall Ubuntu.

Daddy

I just checked the forums.

Seems simple.

sudo dpkg --configure -a

lol  something is happening. Something is working.

I like Ubuntu far more than Windows.

I'm sure the reason it keeps freezing is because I installed it with Wubi(which is in Beta) or because I'm using Beryl(also beta).
