Also, I wanted to add at least Steins;Gate to the poll and maybe Nichijou and Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha too. But I guess it's too late now and can wait until the next one.

The first two series are each 13 episodes and go together relatively well, though I only thought of the first series as its own nomination and it doesn't have an unresolved plot on its own. The third series (26eps) is completely different from the first two.

The two movies are adaptions of the first and second season. I think the first movie was a really well-done adaption and I actually liked it more than the first series. The second movie isn't even showing in Japanese theaters until sometime next year.

Unlike Eden, where you're not even watching the whole story if you ignore the movies (), with Nanoha you can watch either the first series or the first movie by itself without having an unresolved plot.
