well the "2009 version" is just the original 14 episodes plus a newer 14

however actually i guess we would probably skip more than half of the endless eight episodes so i guess it'd be more like 23 episodes total instead of 28

i mean the 2009 episodes might be a "second season" in a way but they tie in all over the place with the original 14 so you might as well watch them all
