External Hard Drive

So I am about to get a 500gb SeaGate External HDD, for about $80 on amazon, and I'm curious which HDD you all use, and how much space it has and why/how you use it.

I am probably going to use it for any movies/anime that I want to keep or haven't watched and don't want to take up space on my on-board Hard Drive. Plus I figure it'd be easier to organize on the HDD (by series, genre, etc.) plus I could take it anywhere and use it on other people's computer for sharing

I just bought an external hard drive enclosure so I can throw any of my excess hard drives in there. Which is quite a few, so it does the job pretty well. I really only use it for music. A few movies here and there and some photos.

Also I've gotten that SeaGate external for 50 bucks at Staples, but I'm sure as fuck it was on sale, since now it costs around 100 bucks again.

I filled mines up with movies.
I still need a way to backup my music.

I really want a laptop so I don't have to rely on burning my films onto DVDs so I can watch them underneath my bed covers.

instead of buying an external hard drive for $50+ with limited space, I can pay $20-$40 and use things i've already got for storage and take them in and out of the enclosure as I please
