Eh, I didn't get a computer until I was in 6th grade.

The competitions were in elementary and middle school, however.

I love writing stuff down, although typing is faster. 

In my situation, writing is faster.

I could write this sentence ten times in how long it took me to type this sentence.

I would try to learn to type faster but it's too time consuming.

I out type my writing speed ten fold. I can type around 125 wpm I can't write nearly that fast.

That's the only sample I have of my handwriting, and ... I swear, it's much much better than that.  I do have more samples that are better, but I'd have to take a picture of my journal and.. yeah there's nothing in there I'd want anyone else reading.  Haha.

Anyway, I won penmanship competitions in grade school. =)

I would like to see ANYONE write at 125 WPM.

I type at 49 WPM, and I only made 1 mistake, put a comma after flock instead of a period.

Eh, I can see 125 being plausible for some people. I used that site in your link and typed at 96 WPM, with 2 mistakes, and there were several spots where I really had to stop and be careful about dashes and such, and I don't quite use shift correctly. If I typed more "correctly" and never paused, I could see like 110 WPM...so 125 doesn't sound too outrageous. Still quite impressive though.

Generally speaking, a lot of us here are bound to type a lot faster than we handwrite. I know I sure do. I handwrite fairly slowly, in fact, and I have a bad habit of laying the side of my hand on the paper and getting graphite smudged on it.
