the formula works so i get their reluctance to make too many changes lol

eventually gamers will hunger for something different at which point from will do something different or go bust, but for now they're not feeling any pressure to fix a system that isn't broken

it's mostly the near complete lack of changes to the ui and certain sound effects and other minor things that i find bemusing, but that's kind of superficial
