I know it gets good mileage, but is it that good? 
Either way, you can't put anything in them, they fit like 2 people, they're ugly, and I reckon they're very unsafe, especially in the US.
They could be fine for little european towns but I would never want a smart car

From what I've heard, they are extremely safe, built pretty much like the cages that they put in nascar cars. That is why they are so damn expensive for how small they are.
