I think the only reason I would want an iPod touch over this is if I wanted apps, but none have excited me too much, and I find this thing to be much prettier.
I do agree though, Apple has certainly forced the other guys to start making more innovative products.

kind of sucks for everyone else who tries to do on-screen keyboards since Apple already did it as well as it could be done and patented the shit out of it I'm sure

I admit that the Zune 30s were like that, but the Zune 80 is quite nice.

First one is ugly.
What's wrong with the second one? You should also look at the interface, because that's the main focus of the device, not the hardware. It's a very nice UI.

The last one is extremely pretty.

The second one looks almost exactly like the first one except the screen is a little wider and it removed the plastic border. 

The UI for the 80 doesn't seem that good either.
