4 undergrad + 4 medical + 8 residency

others take shorter like anesthesiology (4+4+3), and physician (same) but the minimum is 11 years, I think, unless you go to rice, where I think its 4 + 2 + residency (3-8 yrs).

It probably is going to be more than 12 years, minimum is 11. But Rice/Baylor combine a program where you can finish undergrad + medical school in 6 total years, which would be amazing.
