I wish I could take you away, to hold you and let you know things will be okay, and keep holding you until they are.
I'd hold on forever if I had to. I'll ignore your pleas for me to stop, to just do what seems easier, to just forget about you and move on: that path only leads to misery for both of us.  The harder choice, the more difficult thing to accomplish, at least has that hope of happiness, and even that tiny bit makes every bit of pain, suffering, and sadness worth it.

No, I'm not giving up; you don't make my life miserable.  You never have and you never will, but giving up may.
