L-cancel?yep they took it out, but the lag of aerial attacks was reduced so it doesn't matter.

wavedash/Waveland ?Kind of... The original wavedash involved air dodging into the ground and the momentum would create a slide, this was removed because there's no directional air dodge in brawl. But they're new techs like the craq walk :http://youtube.com/watch?v=VmxHhy6JJJE That are essentially the same thing.

Chain throwing is still in, but throw setups are so fucked up now that they won't be nearly as abusable.

I actually don't think that's why. They wanted you to be able to do things after an air dodge, but you could use the air dodge to help recovery, so I think that's why they made it simple pause in the air as opposed to a LMAO OMG IMA FLYIN ALL OVER DA GOD DAMN PLACYE type thing.
