Was StarFox 2 even finished when they canceled it?

Also, I'm not a big fan of StarFox. The first one's good, the N64 one was okay, and...

Wow. Those are the only SF games I've ever played. doodthing;

It'll never happen (they even said the chances of it happening are extremely low in an interview), but as long as Star Fox 1 makes it, I'll be perfectly happy. doodella;

Sin and Punishment was actually released before the VC though. To my knowledge, Star Fox 2 was never released.

I thought it was released in Japan?
