I just barely started P3, but they are kind of similar.

The main difference is P3 is a lot "darker" than P4.

Starting Chrono Trigger tonight, hope it's good.

Also played a bit of Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, plays alright but, as always, stuck at the VERY FIRST boss. [spoiler]I suck at castlevania games ;-;[/spoiler]

I'm convinced to get it, I'm just not convinced to get out of my way to get it yet.

Also, I'm not sure if it was Lawlz or /v/ that convinced me.

It was /v/ that convinced me, so even if you had never gone to /v/ they would've indirectly gotten you hooked.

Oh god, Gley Lancer is so good and I think it ties Lightening Force as the best Genesis shmup.

The thing I most like about it: unlimited continues. It uses a checkpoint system like Gradius so it's not like it becomes incredibly simple, but I hate it some shmups when I just start to get the levels down and then get sent back to the beginning--not a problem with Gley Lancer.

Also, those little bot thingies you control and the weapon variety is awesome.

Only gripe about the game is bosses are too easy.
