I want to try and play some online games with the Dreamcast, but I don't know how.

Is there a specific cord or disk I will need?

Yeah, but I think there is some broadband adaptor that you can buy and there is still some Phantasy Star server out there. Also, I know there is a website that hosts stuff for JGR and whatever else.

The artist formally known

I think you can if you get some sort of hack that will redirect it to a private server since Sega no longer hosts games anymore.
