WTF iMovie 7... and Verizon/LG

Is there any particular reason I can't import 3gp or MP4 video files into iMovie 7. I even converted them to pure DV but they still don't import  emo;

And also on friday my Verizon Chocolate came down with a broke screen argh;. A broken screen= a knocked up warranty. Witch is utter bull shit because it was caused "supposedly" by pressure points on the face of the phone. Its a fucking slider phone, the whole front is a presser point and it costs $50 for it to be replaced via insurance or taking it to da shop burned;. And until my Verizon Chocolate is fixed I have to use my Mom's VX9400.  gonk;

How in the name of iMovie 6 am I going to walk around talking on a phone that looks like the Cross!?! psyduck;

Really, no, because iMovie 08 is just broken. It looks pretty and all, but soon after pirating it, I promptly went back to 06. navi;
