No. It's Kodak. If you want a point-and-shoot with advanced features, get something like a Nikon s7c. If you want a DSLR, get a Nikon D80.

Optical zoom is the amount of zoom you get from the lens, physically. Don't pay attention to "digital zoom", it's a load of shit.

But it's inexpensive.  It's $250..

If you want a fair-priced camera that still works wonderfully, I've heard many a great tale about Nikon's "Coolpix" series.

I got my Coolpic s7c brand new with $100 worth of accesories on eBay. Shop around a bit.
