Then stop making arguments to the contrary only to abandon them so quickly.  psyduck;
Sometimes a leader has to do what he thinks is right, not what is popular.
jeez i thought you people learned that in elementary school :|

What's the point of even having a president if everything is supposed to be decided by the majority?  psyduck;
Not to mention that this majority probably doesn't understand the consequences of what they're proposing.

A president should do what he thinks is right, then listen to the people. If they are satisfied, or the satisfaction-dissatisfaction ratio is like 55-45 or something close, he should continue doing what he thinks is right. But when the ratio is like 80-20 or something overwhelmingly against what the president is doing, he should at least reconsider what he's doing.

I don't know if he has. But with everyone against it, it sure seems like he's blocking out everyone, because he's putting more troops into Iraq instead of starting to take out troops.

If you think about it, this war relates to the Vietnam war.

wait what

and what

Either way, after this war is over (if it ends), they're probably going to say "sorry for the war. we just figured out it was stupid" 50 years from now.

Most people don't want war.  Cool.
Okay.  Same could be said of the Korean conflict.

So how is this a bad thing?

Bush's only objective of Iraq is that he can "free" Iraq so he can get cheaper oil.

Statistics on how much oil we're buying from Iraq, please.  flower;
Oh, and a source verifying that $30 price tag, too.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure Reuters reported less than a month ago that oil from Iraqi imports is at the second lowest point it's been in four years.
