after going around the lakeshore for like 4hrs doing misc shit with random people i met (tfw going to places alone but w/e made the best out of it), i went to navy pier, realized they're shutting off new visitors bc max capacity, and man did i not plan my feet would be hurting so much but w/e. 

but yeah after going through hundreds of ppl, back to the spot i ditched, i just found a random spot instead bc too many people were around now. 

i thought they were gonna, idk, go all out

but man they just spaced out shit and umm it was mediocre compared to my hometown.

also before leaving for downtown it was very weird seeing the neighboring town's audience for their parade.  so many bearded white ppl my DICK, but yeah 99% white.  i mean i should be used to it but it intrigues me so much bc i feel out of place most of the time.  it's like im on the set of desperate housewives and im just the token minority that only knows english.  at a glance, half pompous half umm idk country.  it was cute seeing ppl dressed as riflemen and shooting in the air and knowing all local places being advertised i liked it
