My iPhone is doing weird shit and whenever I try to schedule an appointment to go to the Apple Store I always end up having to cancel it pls end my life

I did and the button is jammed. it's a common defect for the switch

but with the wide variety of devices android runs on, means that there isn't really a unified experience (read: standard parts) when you change phones

yeah but it's like a part I can replace for less than 10 dollars and a soldering iron if i really cared vs spending god knows how much on replacing the home button (which also dies p.frequently) on an iPhone, which may also end up bricking your shit now after an update.

The only leg up iOS has over android devices is a lack of fragmentation and general availability of official updates past a certain time (which only Nexus products seem to extend for 2+ years).
