i kept reading rdx's last sentence as there being an issue with pollacks and i was trying to figure out how they figured into video game development outside of the witcher

for some reason i read it the same way lol

then what's the best now? honestly lol, they've always been shit. it's only maybe been beaten by galaxy but i'd attribute that to more open level design than anything lol
i agree with this - i can't think of a single worthy post-n64 3D platformer worth a shit that doesn't have the word mario somewhere in the title.

someone prove me wrong

and no, that isn't a joke

uncharted's platforming may not require much skill but it does require a modicum, sometimes more

the only part that's truly automatic is ledge grabbing

the ease of the game's platforming segments doesn't make it any less fun or any less worthy of the label "platformer" imo

it'a a mixed-genre ip, an action-adventure-platformer

wikipedia agrees

pure, unadulterated insolence

but uncharted isn't a third-person platformer in almost any sense of the word lol. it's a third-person shooter with traversal elements. it borrows some ideas, sure, but literally having jumping isn't the only criteria for a platforming game lol. by that merit we'd be considering Assassins Creed, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or even Grand Theft Auto 5 as platformers. I'm talking about games that rely on precision jumping and freely scaling a (typically) vertical space as their core mechanic. uncharted is more about holding x and forward to go across set-pieces while really only occasionally relying on precision to traverse environments.

[I] New Nintendo 2DS XL
yeah, we already know that we'll never make more switches.... give them yet ANOTHER iteration of a 3ds....

YPrrrr

I would have bought that 2ds xl instead of my 3xs xl but it's too late sooooo

yeah, that's kinda my point I suppose. Pretty much everyone who wants a 3ds  (or whatever) has one already

bluaki

why bother trying to make all your factories actually produce the hot new console that has supply issues when you could instead dedicate a chunk of them to make yet another brand new product that competes with yourself

Well, it's probably so they can continue selling Pokémon and other upcoming 3DS games in healthy quantities while shifting the focus slightly more toward the "New" 2DS/3DS exclusives.

I still don't doubt Switch will replace 3DS, but probably not until after they can bring the cost down further, maybe with a Switch Mini. There will definitely be at least one more future mainline Pokémon game for 3DS.
