honestly all of CA cost of living is something I would consider expensive! living in santa rosa is definitely less expensive than living in the city (its a bit north of sf) but its a dream place. san rafael is another good community just north of the city. I personally wouldnt mind going even further north i was just talkigna bout this with my friend last night. Northern California is my favorite place.
