QuoteMetal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will launch in spring 2014 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. There is currently no release date for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

[spoiler]ignore the title's poor grammar please&thank you

konami/kojima better be giving you a heavy discount if we're just playing v's prologue in the spring.  even if it somehow managed to be about half as long as your typical mgs game, about ten to twelve hours long, i'd feel very gyped about being tricked into paying $120 for the ability to play mgsv. :| :|

also i can't wait for there to be dlc for both games just so konami can wring every single cent out of you.  akudood;

does konami typically do that sort of stuff though? dlc? i feel like they usually don't bother, or at least there's not much of it

then again, with the next generation here, can even konami resist that extra dosh? tomatoes;

beyond pes, what other non-mgs thing even comes close to bringing in do$h to konami?  huhdoodame;  i'm sure there's sever pressure on kojima to make dlc lol

castlevania is their other largest ip, but aside from their current milking of the lords of shadow sub-series, that's mostly been handheld games for quite a long time now

silent hill WAS a big ip for them - not so much anymore

Well GZ was co firned to be $20 for current consoles and $25 for the new ones. So you're not paying full price for it. PP will probably be full price or be available at a discount if you own the previous game.

i thought it was $30 (and digital only) for the new ones

we're looking at about $90 total for mgsv, and that's assuming there's no additional dlc :'(

Kalahari Inkantation

i think that's in japan

who knows if we're getting the same discount (i'd imagine not since it's exclusively digital on gen4 consoles in the west)

lol you'd think they'd make it digital only for the current gen systems if anything.  though i guess the cheap xbox 360 makes that hard

Kalahari Inkantation

you would think awdood;

but apparently mass-printing 12¢ discs is too much of a hassle for game companies these days

that and the 1¢ paper leaflet manuals subsidised by advertising awdood;

but idk.  you know there are less technology savy people with xbox 360 core/base units/whatever they're called who would just go out and buy a whole new system to get ground zeroes if it were digital-only on the current systems [last gen systems?]  n_u

Kalahari Inkantation

seriously, this would be an excellent business opportunity for both kojima and m$ft

as for those less tech-savvy owners of aracde 360s, i can't image how they've gotten along on 4gb for this long at all
