well, i think they did in wind waker too, but in majora it's more noticeable because it's also all the npcs who got the excellent writing treatment

but yeah the writing in general is the best in majora imo. and it really shines in the ikana area, i think. all the things that the garo tell you, the ikana king and his speech, and omg the giant stalchild who you have to chase and ahhh the little girl and her scientist dad oh god

agreed, that's one of the few zelda games in which the characters had personalities and weren't just lifeless npcs

I thought skyward sword had pretty good characters too, but it was only one town of them so it wasn't that hard to do

well excuuuuuuuse me for not agreeing with you. yes they put effort into the writing, and yes,characters have  more depth, but that doesnt mean some of them aren't lame. so someone doesnt find mm to be
