went in blindly when downloading the update, and luckily nothing happened. Then I was told that it could reset your rank. Also isn't there something about the Shift account causing the rank to reset?

IDK, apparently the DLC and update dont have anything to do with the rank bug. the bug is a different bug altogether. thats what gearbox says.
luckily, nothing happened to my game.

Just so you know, if you change your Gamertag on XBL, your rank will reset as it's tied to your name.
