I was so close to getting my own apartment last week before realizing my math, while accurate, contained some flaws  such as my not considering months where I had no work for a week or called out sick which may affect as much 1/4th of my income for the month, spending money throughout the month (I calculated I'd have $240 after all my bills leftover but this would have to include extra money going out to eat, car emergencies, textbooks, and saving which I'd probably not have a lot).

I still need to think of what I'd need if I were to move out again.  Fridges and Stoves are generally already in apartments.

-Microwave
-Toaster
-Pots & Pans
-TUPPERWARE AND GLASSWARE
-DISHES

wat else i need

depending on how far away said laundromat is, it may be simply more worth it to avoid getting a washing machine and dryer for now unless he can get used ones for cheap. plus a lot of apartments don't really have room for them. this one sure doesn't,

most apartments dont have washing machine/dryer hookups inside them??? and apartment buildings often have a laundry room

plunger is a pretty good suggestion. microwaves encourage shit eating so maybe not even get one (this is working out wonderfully for us)

i think most important things are cookware (a frying pan, a soup pot, and something that can be used as a wok/large pan/secondary soups pot), a few knives, and towels / paper towels / soap / basic cleaning supplies, and pillows.

Trash cans
Silverware
Futon/Bed

Possibly a lamp depending on how well it's lit

I don't really like microwaving food but it is good for leftovers and certain culinary shortcuts (steaming veggies, very quick baked potato, etc)
