So this morning I explored an abandoned mall in a suburb of Chicago. Most of the mall closed in 1978, and it was completely abandoned by 1981. The mall chase scene in The Blues Brothers was filmed there.

Go in from around the corner of the new senior citizen apartments. There's a police station on the other side.
